What is CRISPR?
Explained simply.
DNA is the source code of life. It defines our eye color, our height, and our predisposition to diseases. In the past, this code was immutable.
CRISPR (Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats) is the technology that changed that. Think of it as a "word processor" for genes.
It works like molecular scissors guided by a GPS system (the guide RNA). The system locates a specific DNA sequence, cuts it, and allows the cell to repair the cut, inserting or removing genetic information.
